KENT CUP AND FRIENDLY FIXTURES
The team have entered the Kent Cup which is played on a League basis. The first two teams from each group will qualify for the semi-finals of the A.B. Taylor Trophy and the next four teams will qualify for the quarter-finals of the Holy Cross Trophy

The Lenham School, Ham Lane, Lenham, Maidstone ME17 2LL 9.30am kick off
Maidstone and Gravesham contested a good game of football on a slippery surface. Gravesham took the lead midway through the first half with a fine header from Max Ferdinand. However, Maidstone equalised within two minutes and the score remained 1-1 at half-time. Both teams had opportunities to score again but it was not until the last minute of the game that the deadlock was broken with a winner from Maidstone.

Gravesham wee punished for a slow start which saw Brighton enjoy a 3-0 advantage at half-time. In the second half Gravesham's performance greatly improved and goals from Max Ferdinand and Tobi Johnson lost the match 4-2.

West Kent North 1 Gravesham 2 (Scorers: Gingell (penalty), Adeyemi)
Kings Hill Sports Park, Kings Hill. ME19 4LU 12.30 kick off
Gravesham welcomed four new players into the squad in their final group match of the U12s Kent Schools' League Competition. All of the debutants made impressive contributions to the side. Gravesham enjoyed much of the possession in the first half but went in at half-time a goal down. Gravesham showed great determination in the second half and mid way through the first half were awarded a penalty after one of the home defenders handled the ball in the area. George Gingell calmly converted the opportunity. Then with 10 minutes remaining David Ayemi used his pace to break through and give Gravesham the lead. Both teams had opportunities to score again but some close misses from Gravesham and good saves from their goalkeeper Jordan Thomas meant the final score was 2-1 to Gravesham.

Thanet 2 Gravesham 3 (Scorers: Johnson, Ferdinand, Ayemi)
Edward drive CT7 9BY (off Canterbury Road, Birchington-on-sea) 10.00 kick off
At the start of the game the teams were evenly matched until Gravesham pounced after some super play with Tobi Johnson finishing after a great run and scoring the goal. Straight from the restart Thanet attacked and having the better conditions in the first half due to the wind, soon managed to equalise.
In the last few minutes of the first half Aderinsola Taiwo went on a solo run but was taken down in the area, David Ayemi took the spot kick and scored only for the ref to blow for interference and the penalty had to be retaken. David took the penalty again and put the ball in the bottom left corner to restore Gravesham's lead.
In the second half Gravesham were playing some good football as the game was became very competitive. After a string of passes from Gravesham the ball was crossed into the box for Max Ferdinand to strike the ball on the volley into the bottom corner to give a 3-1 advantage. Thanet from this stage put up a great effort to get back in the game but Gravesham defended valiantly until the dying seconds when Thanet scored a scrappy goal. However this was to be the last passage of play in the game, with the referee blowing for full time from the restart, leaving Gravesham as deserved winners!!!!

Gravesham v Maidstone

Gravesham got off to a flying start and were attacking from the first whistle . After five minutes of Gravesham pressure and after a good move Derin Taiwo's initial shot was saved by the goal keeper before Derin followed up and managed to put away the rebound. Following continued pressure David Ayemi produced a stunning run accompanied by an equally stunning finish to extend the lead to 2-0. After this Maidstone applied some pressure with some good football and pulled one back just before half time to make the score 2-1 at the interval.
In the second half Maidstone started strongly but a great move including Jason Cook and David Ayemi resulted in David finish with a stunning shot into the top corner to extend Gravesham's lead to 3-1. Maidstone continued to push but due to some valiant defending and some outstanding saves from Gravesham goal keeper Jordan Thomas - one being absolutely top draw - Gravesham maintained their lead .Gravesham then started to push forwards, creating more chances for themselves but Maidstone scored on the counter attack. The last minuets were tense with both teams creating chances but Gravesham managed to hold on resulting in a 3-2 victory. Gravesham will now play either Canterbury or Shepway in the Final.

The team entered the Patrick Haugh Trophy which was played on a knock out basis and is open to associations in the South East area.
Saturday 16th November, 2019. ROUND 1
Chelmsford & Mid Essex 9 Gravesham 1 (Scorer: Flynn)
Shenfield High School, Alexander Lane, CM15 8RY. 10.15 kick off
Gravesham made the worst possible start on a wet pitch and were trailing 2-0 within 3 minutes of the start of the match. This set the tone for the first half where the hosts dominated and went into the interval leading 7-0. Mid Essex did have some talented individuals and played well as a team, although Gravesham failed to perform to the best of their ability. Gravesham, however, did play much better in the second half, which was a much more even contest Mid Essex did score a further 2 goals but Gravesham also scored when Paddy Flynn scored following a pass from Zane Rayfield.
