Monday 10th October, 2022. KENT CUP
Gravesham 2 North Kent 3 (Scorers: Ogunkoya, Ferdinand)
Maplesden Noakes School, Buckland Road, Maidstone. ME16 0TJ 7.45pm kick off
Gravesham made the worst possible start, conceding within 2 minutes following an unchallenged run from a North Kent player. However, Gravesham started to play some very good football and began to enjoy the large periods of possession. Gravesham deservedly equalised with a header from Stephen Ogunkoya. Gravesham were in the ascendancy and playing some excellent football when Max Ferdinand gave them the advantage with a powerful shot from the edge of the penalty area. North Kent equalised but Gravesham were unfortunate not to score again before North Kent scored a winner in the last minute. Gravesham played some excellent football and did not deserve to come out of the game with nothing, so move on to their next game with a good performance behind them.
