The game got underway and within minutes Brighton get a corner; the ball was crossed in and a Brighton header put Brighton 1-0 up. The game restarted and Gravesham started to put the pressure on, creating chance after chance. Then Brighton got given a corner which Gravesham tried to clear but the ball dropped to a Brighton player who made no mistake in doubling the home team's lead. Brighton kept the pressure on but Gravesham's defence and midfield proved too difficult to break down. This allowed Gravesham started to break through and create some chances, which nerved the opposition. Then Nathan Fialho found himself in space on the edge of the box and with an outside of the foot attempt resulted in Gravesham being a goal down at half time, but certainly not out of it.
The second half began and Gravesham had the momentum thanks to that first half strike by Fialho. Brighton struggled to break through and soon after Mack Reilly found himself free inside the 6 yard box and fired home. Suddenly Brighton split the defence with some great passes and finished to make it 3-2. A few minutes later Gravesham found themselves with a dangerous free kick outside the edge of the box. Lloyd Holland hit a great ball in that found captain Will Currie and his attempt bounded over the line and was given, but Jed Haggar bundled the ball over just in case. In the dying embers of the game Gravesham keeper ieuan Ferris went route one which beat the defence and found Mack Reilly through on goal who was tripped inside the box. Mack Reilly stepped up to take the penalty and fired Gravesham into the lead for the first time in the game. The referee blew his whistle and Gravesham come out 4-3 winners against a good Brighton side.

Gravesham enjoyed the greater possession. Then, within ten minutes, from a Tower Hamlets corner Gravesham counter-attacked and Kyle Eam bared down on goal with only the 'keeper to beat, and he made no mistake giving Gravesham the lead. The first period continued with little to note until Tower Hamlets attacked shortly before the end of the first period and their striker beat the Gravesham defence, but Gravesham goalkeeper Iuean Ferris stood firm and blocked the attempt that sailed out for a corner.
In the second period there were a number of squandered chances and wasted set pieces but no changes to the scoreline.

Gravesham 2 South London 1 (Scorers: Vine, Reilly)
Gravesham had their first home game this season, and they may not have been held as favourites for this game as they faced off to a good and well built South London side. For the first 10-15 minutes South London were dominant and battling away at the Gravesham midfield and defence but the home team stood firm. Attack after attack, saw South London find themselves in space and they exploited that with a shot from outside the box, which rattled off the bar, and a South London striker nodded in from close range. 1-0. But this didn’t put Gravesham heads down as they strove on, determined for an equaliser. Gravesham piled on the pressure and won a corner. From this the ball was cleared only as far as Daniel Vine on the edge of the box who made no mistake with a screamer on the half volley with his weak foot, nestling the ball into the top left hand corner. 1-1 game on!
Gravesham felt as though they could go on and get in front, which they did, A beautifully weighted pass caught Mack Reilly through on goal and exposing the opposition defence, and he side footed it into the bottom left. Gravesham delighted!
Minutes away from half time a ball was floated into the Gravesham box, which left Goalkeeper, Ieuan Ferris, and the South London striker to challenge for the ball. A very brave attempt saw Gravesham goalie parry it away from danger, which led into a slight injury after being bundled into.
