Shepway 3 Gravesham 2 (Scorers: Ferdinand, Komas (pen.))
The Stadium, Church Road, Folkestone. CT20 3EN 10.30am kick off
Gravesham travelled to Folkestone with a bare 11 players, and once Riley Ingram aggravated an injury in the warm up Gravesham were forced to play the whole game with 10 players. Despite this, and playing up a significant slope in the first half, Gravesham started brightly and produced plenty of good football. Indeed the visitors were unfortunate when Max Ferdinand collected a through ball and finished clinically but was offside. Shepway then put Gravesham under considerable pressure for 15 minutes and scored three times, firstly on a break and then with two penalties. The ten men of Gravesham came out in the second half, and once more played some great football before deservedly reducing the deficit when Max Ferdinand calmly played the ball past the home 'keeper after receiving a delicious through ball. Things then became more difficult when Frankie Datlin had to be withdrawn following a hamstring injury, forcing Gravesham to play the last 20 minutes with just nine players. The pack was rearranged and Gravesham played a 3-4-1 formation for the remainder of the game. To Gravesham's credit they continued to enjoy their fair share of the game, and with five minutes remaining Italianas Komas was fouled in the penalty area and got him to confidently convert the penalty to the bottom corner. Although Gravesham had lost 3-2 there were plenty of positives to take from their first game of the season.

Gravesham 2 Bromley 3 (Scorers: Dumpleton, Britten)
On a bitter day on the weekend of Storm Arwen both teams produced a good gam in challenging conditions. In the first half Gravesham enjoyed the majority of possession and Max Ferdinand, Harry Britten and Zane Rayfield were at the heart of some good passing movements. However, Bromley intercepted an attempted clearance after ten minutes to take the lead. After 15 minutes Gravesham drew level when Ben Dumpleton headed well from a corner. Both teams then restored the lead 10 minutes after half time.
In the second half Gravesham soon equalised when Harry Britten fired home from eight yards. Although Gravesham were unable to produce the same quality of football in the second half both teams had opportunities to score again. West Kent 2 Gravesham 3 (Scorers: Adeoye (2), Johnson)
St Gregory's Roman Catholic School, Tunbridge Wells. TN4 9XL. 11.30am kick off
Following some late COVID issues Gravesham travelled to West Kent with only eight players. Following a wet week the pitch was saturated which added to the challenge that Gravesham faced. Gravesham started positively. After 6 minutes Italianas Komas plated an exquisite pass to Gabriel Mackey who was denied by the West Kent goalkeeper, with debutant Ad Adeoye's follow up hitting the cross bar. Five minutes later West Kent took the lead following a long rang shot. However the nine men of Gravesham were in a determined mood and Ade Adeoye deservedly equalised through Ade Adeoye. Gravesham's defence of Jack King, Max Ferdinand and Marcel Borys dealt admirably with the West Kent attack whilst goalkeeper Lewis Watts made some good saves on the rare occasion that the Gravesham defence was breached. Gravesham's midfield of Tobi Johnson, JJ Cook, Italianas Komas and Gabriel Mackley worked tirelessly, often controlling the play despite being outnumbered and Gravesham were deservedly level at half time. Gravesham took the lead midway through the second half following a well taken free kick from Tobi Johnson. West Kent again equalised five minutes later. Although Gravesham were becoming very tired they showed great character and resilience and continued to play some good football and push for a winner. Ade Adeoye caused the hosts problems throughout the game and used his strength well to score again with ten minutes remaining. Both teams continued to play some good football as the itch became heavier, and the final score was 3-2 to Gravesham.
