Gravesham Schools' Football Association U12s Boys District Fixtures 2021 / 22
KENT CUP AND FRIENDLY FIXTURES
The team have entered the Kent Cup which is played on a League basis. The first two teams from each group will qualify for the semi-finals of the A.B. Taylor Trophy and all other teams will qualify for the Holy Cross Trophy
Saturday 18th September, 2021. KENT CUP.
Gravesham 1 West Kent 5 (Scorer: Pinnock)
Old Southfields Playing Field, Nursery Mews off of Cedar Avenue DA12 5JT 12.00pm kick off
Gravesham started the match with a high tempo, moving the ball well and challenging for every ball. Gravesham goalkeeper made some good early saves, and the team defended well under pressure. West Kent scored from a good counter attack, but Gravesham responded well with a positive attitude. Gravesham went 2-0 down following a penalty, but Gravesham again responded well and Louie Pinnock reduced the deficit when scoring from a free-kick. Gravesham played some good combination football, but West Kent scored again and the first half finished 3-1. With some changes at half time, partly due to injuries Gravesham started the second half positively with good movement up front with all players giving 100%. However despite some good saves from second half goalkeeper Henry Cherrison West Kent, scored twice more to make the final score 5-1.

Gravesham travelled to Greenwich on a wet and blustery morning. and started well, matching their hosts. However a strong Greenwich side scored three times to give them an advantage at half-time. Early in the second half Gravesham again enjoyed a good spell and Riley Wade scored to reduce the deficit following a corner. Greenwich then started to stretch the Gravesham defence and scored three more times to make the final score 6-1.
